The Story

Loomis Village in South Hadley, MA, is an independent and assisted living community surrounded by the beauty of the Pioneer Valley, offering breathtaking views of Mount Tom. When Loomis Village embarked on an interior renovation project to refresh multiple dining venues, lounges, and gathering spaces, the goal was to create a timeless and comfortable environment shaped by the region’s rich character. The design firm Perkins Eastman led the vision for the transformation and Living Revolution was selected as the furniture procurement and installation partner.

Senior living spaces require a thoughtful balance of aesthetics and practicality. Living Revolution partnered with the design team to enhance comfort, efficiency, and ease of use through key furniture solutions. Seating with open cleanouts simplified maintenance, ensuring a hygienic dining environment, while the Beaufurn Rose Arm Chair’s lightweight aluminum frame and built-in handle made repositioning effortless for both residents and staff.

Key furnishings included the Fairfield Brady Armchair and Brady Bariatric Chair, Kwalu Terrasini Accent Chair, and Beaufurn Rose Arm Chair in the dining areas, while lounge spaces featured a custom Jamie Stern banquette. Custom elements, such as shelving and a pool cue holder by Custom Crafters and a reception desk by Composition Hospitality, added unique, functional touches. A standout feature was the custom-built takeout order shelving, designed with Custom Crafters to streamline meal pickups for residents, enhancing both convenience and service.

No large-scale renovation comes without challenges, and Living Revolution’s proactive approach ensured that every issue was met with a solution. Manufacturer delays resulted in unpredictable timelines. When dining chair shipments were behind schedule, Living Revolution stayed ahead—maintaining constant communication with manufacturers, requesting tracking updates, and pushing for expedited shipping. This diligence ensured that installation could proceed swiftly once the furniture arrived, minimizing disruption.

Additionally, when a few tabletops did not meet Living Revolution’s high-quality standards, the onsite project manager immediately handled claims and replacements, working directly with the manufacturer to resolve the issue. While waiting for the replacements, the team implemented a creative workaround—using the existing tabletops with linen service. Through proactive communication, hands-on problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence, Living Revolution continued to execute the project despite unforeseen circumstances.

The transformation of Loomis Village reflects our dedication to creating a sense of home, enhancing the senior living experience, and being a valuable and trusted partner. Through strategic collaboration, expert procurement, and proactive problem-solving, the Living Revolution team navigated challenges to ensure the community received an incredible renovation that achieve the project’s vision and welcomed residents home.
